Minute Man Ministry

We are looking for servant leaders to help in the development of an emergency taskforce.  Do you have a special skill that you could use to assist in the care of our church grounds?  Please help us to put your skills/talents/gifts to use in the service of the Lord! 

If you can commit to becoming a part of this vital ministry in the life of your church, ‘please’ check off which skill you have and are willing to use, sign the commitment form, and include your contact information. 

Please understand that we are counting on you for a high level of commitment. 

What is a Minuteman Minister?

In emergent situations, the Minuteman Ministry team will come to the church and appraise the situation, develop a plan of action and respond as needed.  For example:  Should a storm bring water into the sanctuary, walls or doors get knocked out, tree limbs fall, etc. you will be contacted and expected to respond within 24 hours.   

Some tools will be supplied in a central location, but you will want to bring your own—just in case.  You will have keys, codes, and a closet—what your church needs from you is your Christ-like commitment!  

Here is what is expected:

Your name (along with a team of others) will be placed on our “Minutemen Ministry” response team contact List. We will need your cell# and home phone #. Should an emergency arise that warrants your attention, you have agreed to respond within 24 hours to assist in cleanup, repair, restoration and/or rebuilding efforts around the facilities.

In addition, you may be asked to construct, build or design platforms or setups and teardown for large events.

1. Leader—coordinator and communicator
2. High expectation-within 24 hour response
3. Specific skills or general cleanup duties
4. Prayer for, during and after each assignment.
5. “Feedback is the Breakfast of Champions” In other words, our Minutemen will get together for a team de-briefing to see what could/should be done to improve their (your) ministry and what further/other tools may be needed in the future.
